[ARCHIVED] Police Requesting Assistance Locating Missing Person

Charleston, SC – The Charleston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating James Williams Jr. He was last seen on March 3, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m. near the apartments at 143 Saint Phillip Street in downtown Charleston. Mr. Williams is 73 years old, 5’5 in height, approximately 130 pounds and has memory issues. 

 Williams was reported to be traveling on foot and wearing navy and red plaid pajama pants and a white sleeve t-shirt. He may be wearing a dark-colored jacket and black Nike slides. He may also be carrying a blue in color bedsheet. 

 If you see Mr. Williams, please call 911. If you have information on his whereabouts, contact the Charleston Police Department at 843-720-2422 and request to speak with the on duty Central Detective.
