Chief Chito Walker said, “My heart is with this family as they face this loss during a season that is about being together. This did not have to happen. When young people carry guns, the consequences are immediate and permanent, and one decision can change lives in seconds. This kind of loss should never be part of growing up. I hope holding those responsible accountable brings some measure of justice. I am grateful to the detectives who continue to tirelessly work around the clock.”
