[ARCHIVED] Update on Weekend Events in the City of Charleston

America's Boating Club Charleston Parade of Boats has been cancelled by the United States Coast Guard due to forecast conditions.

Chanukah in the Square, originally scheduled to take place Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. in Marion Square, will be moved to Chabad of Charleston Center for Jewish Life located at 477 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt Pleasant, SC.

The Charleston Farmers Market Holiday Market will be open Saturday, weather permitting, but will be closed Sunday.

King Street will not be blocked off for the Second Sunday on King event. However, the merchants are expected to be open during their normal business hours.

The fifth annual Holiday Parade of Boats Viewing Party will still take place, rain or shine. Presented by the historic Rotary Club of Charleston and the City of Charleston, the fifth annual Viewing Party will be held at the Charleston Maritime Center from 5 to 8 p.m. on December 8, 2018. Tickets, which can be purchased at http://charlestonparadeofboats.com/buy-tickets, include a barbecue meal by Swig & Swine, live entertainment and a cash bar. The event’s net proceeds will fund various charitable endeavors and community projects. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door; children under age 18 are $5 with an accompanying adult.
