[ARCHIVED] Following Treatment, Charleston Fire Department Station 11 Reopened

Charleston Fire Department Station 11 has been treated and cleared for reentry. Earlier this week, full pest treatment protocols were activated at Station 11, after bedbugs were spotted on top of a covered mattress in the dormitory area. Firefighters who had been relocated to Station 16 while the area was treated have returned.

Interim Fire Chief John Tippett said, “Again, I can’t stress enough how proud I am of the fine members of the Charleston Fire Department. They have once again made the best of a difficult situation, and we are all very thankful for their outstanding service to our city and its citizens.”
