[ARCHIVED] City of Charleston Gives Public Notice of FEMA Grant Application

The City of Charleston has applied for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program funding through the South Carolina Emergency Management Division (SCEMD) as a sub-grantee.

The proposed work includes the replacement of existing under-sized emergency generators with larger, permanent automatic back-up power systems at three existing fire stations located within the Special Flood Hazard Zone. These improved fuel supplies would be capable of providing one week of continuous power for each emergency response facility. Fire Stations 2 and 3 (162 Meeting Street), Station 8 (370 Huger Street), and Station 12 (1352 Olde Towne Road) would be affected by this project.

The full public notice can be viewed here.
