Today, Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg issued the following statement on the horrific attacks in the state of Israel:
"Today's horrific attacks on innocent civilians in the state of Israel have shocked people of every faith in our community. At this hour, city and police officials are in contact with synagogues and other houses of worship throughout the city, and will continue to work closely with them in the days ahead. Our hearts go out to the victims of this terrible violence, and we pray for the day when peace returns to Israel and the entire region."
