The city of Charleston will kick off a new peninsula planning process – formally known as The Charleston Peninsula: Our Community, Our Future, Our Plan – that will serve as a guide for the future of the Charleston peninsula over the next 10-to-20 years, with a pair of community open house events next week.
Citizens are invited to attend to share input on their experiences with the peninsula and to weigh in on opportunities for improvement related to neighborhood design, mobility, water, economic development and more.
The following open house events, each being held at the International Longshoremen’s Association Local 1422, located at 1142 Morrison Drive, are scheduled to take place:
- Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 6 to
- Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Refreshments will be provided, and all ages are welcome to attend. No RSVP is required.
