In June 2024, Traffic and Transportation completed improvements to the intersection of Fairchild Street and River Landing Drive on Daniel Island. This project was designed to help address commuter traffic and pedestrian safety concerns.
The improvements include a lane reconfiguration on Fairchild Street to create a right turn only lane and the installation of a new crosswalk across River Landing Drive. Additional improvements include upgrades to traffic signals, paving, and sidewalks throughout the intersection.
