Applications for the Summer 2025 Youth Citizen Academy are closed!


Come take part in our Youth Citizens Academy (YCA) for young adults ages 14 – 18!  YCA is a 1-week day camp for youth who live or attend school in the City of Charleston. This enriching Academy is a free camp for high school-aged students. This is your chance to learn about the juvenile justice system, your rights as young adults, how to protect yourself online, and more. This is also your chance to help inform the Charleston Police Department’s community policing efforts, and get paid for your feedback on how we can improve our relationship with young people, like yourself! Each participant will receive a $50 gift card for sharing their story and insight with us at the end of the Academy.
