Youth Programs

Elementary-Aged Youth

Charleston Police engage elementary-aged youth regularly, primarily through presentations made by Crime Prevention officers at schools and at Scouting functions. Camp Hope is also offered in the Summer for children in downtown areas. Email Sharon Robinson or call 843-720-2401 for details.

Middle-School-Aged Youth

School presentations are made by Crime Prevention officers throughout the year, as well as at scouting functions. In the Summer, School Resource Officers also host Camp Hope at West Ashley Middle School and Haut Gap Middle school. Arrangements are made through the schools.

High-School & College-Aged Youth

Law Enforcement Explorer Post 11 and Teen CERT Explorer Post 911 serve high-school and college-aged youth. Crime Prevention Officers also are available to address students in high-school or college.
