Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA)
Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program is a Federal program administered by Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) dedicated to the housing needs of people living with HIV/AIDS. HOPWA provides assistance and supportive services to prevent homelessness for income eligible persons with HIV/ AIDS and their families.
The Department has been a recipient of HOPWA funding for over a decade. Through the use of HOPWA funds the Department is able support the programs of our project sponsors, Lowcountry AIDS Services and more recently Roper St. Francis Foundation Ryan White Program.
