Charleston Police Department Mounted Patrol officers arrested a woman for drug trafficking following an encounter in the downtown market area.
On October 13, 2025, while patrolling on horseback, three mounted officers were flagged down by a concerned citizen who reported a woman exhibiting signs of being under the influence of drugs. Officers made contact with the individual and, during their investigation, recovered a quantity of brown powder and multiple prescription pills.
The suspect, identified as Heather Dawn Domi (48, of Ladson), is charged with trafficking heroin and possession of a controlled substance.
