Two Suspects Arrested After James Island Robbery

The Charleston Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred inside a residence on Westway Drive on November 20, 2025.

 At around 11 a.m., a man reported that he had been injured during a robbery inside the home. The victim told officers that an acquaintance invited him to the residence on Westway Drive. Shortly after the victim arrived, another man entered the room wearing a ski mask and pointing a shotgun at the victim.

 According to the victim, both suspects demanded his belongings. When the victim resisted, one suspect struck him with a handgun.

 Officers located both suspects inside the residence and took them into custody with assistance from the Special Operations Division. They were transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center, where they are awaiting bond hearings.

 As a result of the investigation, Justin Roland Jenkins (27, of Charleston) is charged with:
 • Armed robbery
 • Assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature
 • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime

 Additionally, Malachi Jabez Lanham (22, of Charleston) is charged with:
 • Armed robbery
 • Assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature
 • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime
