The Violent Crimes Unit is currently staffed with five detectives and a supervisor. The primary responsibilities of the Violent Crimes Unit include:
Aggravated Assaults
Investigating Homicides
Suicide Investigations
Suspicious Death Investigations
Various Other High Profile Crimes
In addition to investigating new cases, the Violent Crimes Unit also assists Retired Detective Sergeant Mike Gordon with the investigation of Cold Cases.
