COVID-19 UPDATE

All instructor-led Recreation Department programs and classes, including youth and adult sports programs, have been suspended through April 30. Recreation centers and other facilities remain temporarily closed until further notice. As of 3/25 effective at 12 a.m., the city has closed all remaining parks, open spaces, and playgrounds. Follow all CDC guidelines and stay up to date on the City's main webpage (charleston-sc.gov) or on our Facebook pages (@CityCharleston & @ChsRecreation).

Lowcountry Senior Center

The Lowcountry Senior Center is a partnership between the City of Charleston and Roper St. Francis to provide and welcome adults age 50 and older to come for exercise, socializing and to broaden their horizons through a wide array of classes. Emphasize lifelong wellness with a focus on fun and learning, and offer a multitude of opportunities for seniors to try new things and meet new people.

Waring Senior Center

The Waring Senior Center is 16,000 square foot senior center located on the campus of Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital and features a fitness center, café, resource center with access to computers, exercise studio and outdoor pickleball courts.
