Specialty Camps

Take a look at our exciting Summer Camp lineup for 2025! With over 115 camps to choose from, there’s something for every child, hosted across our recreation centers and parks on the Peninsula, James Island, Daniel Island, West Ashley, and Johns Island.

This summer, we’re offering an exceptional variety of camps that cater to all interests. Sports enthusiasts can choose from baseball, basketball, fencing, football, gymnastics, lacrosse, and soccer. 

If fitness is your focus, we have dynamic camps for cheerleading, superhero training, ninja warriors, and more! 

Our arts, dance, and theater camps will spark creativity, while our STEAM camps (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) promise hands-on fun and learning.

No matter your child’s interests, there’s a camp that’s perfect for them. 

All camps will be available for registration online and in-person. 

Registration will not be accepted via phone.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

• Online registration will be available https://bit.ly/CHSCamp.
• Practice logging in if you plan on registering online. Make sure your username and password both work. If you have issues with your username and password, please email charleston-recreation@charleston-sc.gov no later than 4PM on Friday, January 31. (Staff will be busy with registration and will be unable to provide login assistance on Friday night or Saturday).
• If you do not already have an account, you will need to create an online account at: Register-at-Recreation-Online
• New accounts can take 24-72 hours to become active and allow for registration. You will not be able to login until your account becomes active. 
• Make sure that all children are listed in your account, in advance. If you need to add a child to your account, you will be required to provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate. Birth certificates may be emailed to charleston-recreation@charleston-sc.gov no later than 4PM on Friday, January 31.

In-person registration will be available at the following sites on Saturday, February 1st:

• Recreation Main Office (823 Meeting Street) from 8:30AM-10:30AM
• Arthur W. Christopher Community Center (265 Fishburne Street) from 8:30AM-2:00PM
• James Island Recreation Complex (1088 Quail Drive) from 8:30AM-2:00PM
• Bees Landing Recreation Center (1580 Ashley Gardens Blvd) from 8:30AM-4:00PM
• Daniel Island Recreation Center (160 Fairbanks Drive) from 8:30AM-2:00PM
• Charleston Tennis Center (19 Farmfield Road) from 8:30AM-2:00PM
• Maybank Tennis Center (1880 Houghton Drive) from 8:30AM-3:00PM
