Learning the Importance of NOT Littering While We're Young!

Keep Charleston Beautiful's Clara's Kids Club is a youth focused group offered to children within pre-kindergarten to 6th-grade level involving litter prevention education alongside local litter cleanups. During Clean City Clara Presentations, students develop knowledge on what litter is, the harmful impacts litter has on local environments, and are asked to join Clara's Kids Club at the conclusion of the presentation. During local litter cleanup events, Clara the Pelican works with participating children, reinforcing the importance to clean up litter and place our trash in the trash can.

Pledge yourself into the club by raising your right hand and repeating the following pledge - & then continue to honor the pledge daily! It's that simple!

Youth Litter Cleanup - Summer 2023 Series!

Starting Tuesday, April 18th Keep Charleston Beautiful will be offering multiple youth focused litter cleanups throughout the City of Charleston AND Clara the Pelican will be joining us throughout each litter cleanup! Children of all ages are welcome to attend all events.

Each event is 100% FREE to all participants and litter cleanup supplies will be offered. Parents are welcome to accompany their child during the litter cleanups. We do ask that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear for each event.

Please register for the following events using THIS LINK so we can have a head count prior. For events to occur, we need at least 5 volunteers to be registered for each event. If we don't have enough signups, we will send out rescheduling notices via email and social media platforms 24-hours prior to event. Thank you in advance!
