The City of Charleston is reminding residents and visitors that the Holy City Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place this Sunday, December 7, 2025, beginning at 3:00 p.m. The high-energy parade and festive tree lighting will bring holiday cheer to downtown Charleston.

 

WHO:
 City of Charleston; local clubs, organizations, and musical ensembles; holiday performers including Rev. Randolph Miller, Javetta Campbell, Timothy Campbell, Mario Desaussure, and the Jason Singleton Youth Ensemble; Mayor Cogswell and Rob Fowler of Channel 2

 

WHAT:
 The City of Charleston’s Holy City Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony.

  • The parade will feature musical ensembles, clubs, organizations, and community groups.
  • The Tree Lighting Ceremony in Marion Square will include musical performances, seasonal readings and poems, and a countdown to the lighting led by Mayor Cogswell and Rob Fowler.

 

WHEN:
Sunday, December 7, 2025
Parade steps off at 3:00 p.m.
Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m.
Tree will light at 6:00 p.m.

 

WHERE:
Parade Route: Commences on Broad Street at Rutledge Avenue, travels north on Meeting Street, and concludes at Calhoun Street at Meeting Street
Tree Lighting Ceremony: Marion Square
