The Charleston Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred just before midnight on November 23, 2025, on Clements Ferry Road.
A pickup truck was traveling on Clements Ferry Road near Klister Lane when the vehicle left the roadway and went into a nearby pond. Rescue units responded and located the driver, who was the only occupant, deceased inside the vehicle.
Clements Ferry Road was blocked southbound until around 4 a.m.

This incident marks the tenth fatal traffic-related collision investigated by the Charleston Police Department this year.
