City of Charleston offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Recreation Facilities
- All City of Charleston recreation facilities, including pools and tennis centers, will be closed Monday, January 19.
- The Municipal Golf Course (The Muni) will operate under normal hours.
Garbage & Trash Collection
To ensure continued service during the holiday week, trash collection will follow the modified schedule below:
City of Charleston Collection Crews
Collection will operate on a one-day delay for the week:
- Monday routes → Tuesday
- Tuesday routes → Wednesday
- Wednesday routes → Thursday
- Thursday routes → Friday
Trident Waste
- Johns Island & Outer West Ashley: Normal schedule
- Daniel Island & Cainhoy: Normal schedule
City Offices:
- All City Offices will be closed on Monday, January 19th.
