Where Can I Register?
You can register at any city recreation facility including Arthur W. Christopher Community Center, Bees Landing Recreation Center, Charleston Tennis Center, James Island Recreation Complex, Maybank Tennis Center or the Recreation Main Office. All facilities and online will officially open at 8:30am. You can also register online by clicking on the button below.

  1. Practice logging in prior to Saturday if you plan on registering online. Make sure your username and password both work.
  2. Verify that your household is accurate and ready to go by calling your facility. All your children in your household and your contact information needs to be correct for a quick and smooth registration.
  3. Pick out what camps/clinics/sessions you want for each child ahead of time to quicken the process. Have your payment (check, Visa, MC, money order) ready. Also, know your child's shirt size and who can/cannot pick them up from camp, as these are questions that will be asked.

: If you have never participated in any sport, activity, or event with the city and you don't already have a household account, please call or go into a facility to set it up prior to Saturday. If you try to do it online, it will take between 24-72 hours to create your account and you could potentially be late to register.

Coach & Volunteer Darkness to Light Training

Flip the Switch D2L Campaign.png

Join the City of Charleston Recreation Department as we unite in USA champion gymnast Aly Raisman’s #FliptheSwitch campaign partnered with Darkness to Light Stewards of Children® training. The #FlipTheSwitch campaign was inspired by the many people who have voiced concern to Aly about the lack of support and attention being devoted to the issue of sexual abuse within the sport of gymnastics, particularly at the grassroots level.

Athlete safety in youth sports is our main priority and this campaign calls for all adults involved in ALL youth sports to complete Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children® training, the leading child sexual abuse prevention program in the country. Use Aly's special code FLIPTHESWITCH at the link below to access Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children® training at no cost and get trained today.
