Level Four Assessments : What to Expect


Putting         

Knowledge  need to say and demonstrate these 9 putting forms   
1. Reading the Green: Two Point Ready
2. Find Your Target
3. Practice the Stroke You Will Use
4. Thumbs on Top
5. The “Y” Setup / Eyes over the ball
6. Aim the Train at a Spot
7. Backswing -= FT. Short, Medium and Long Putt
8. Mark the Ball
9. Be still and Stick the Finish

Skills
1. Short Putt – Merry Go Round
*Place a ball three feet from the hole and count the number strokes to get it in the hole. On the second and third round, place the ball in different locations around the hole.

2. Medium Putt - 20’ away on sloping green.
*Count the number of strokes to get it in the hole.

3. Opposite Side of Hole – 20’ opposite side of medium putt.
*Count the number of strokes to get it in the hole.

4. Long Putt – 40’ away.
*Count the number of strokes to get in in the hole.

After putting all four station, your combined score for all three rounds must be 29 or less to pass this Putting Skills Test.

Chipping Forms

7. Backswing = FT / Short, Medium Chip

Skills
1. Short Chip –  20’ away, then put until holed out
2. Medium Chip – 40’ away, then putt until holed out
3. Long Chip – 60’ away, then putt until holed out

 Sand

6. Open Stance / Swing Parallel

 Skills
1. Sand Shot – 4 of 5 balls out of bunker, landing and staying on the green

 Full Swing

Knowledge – need to say and demonstrate these 9 full swing forms
1. Hotdog in the Bun
2. “Y” Setup / Ball Positions
3. Aim the Train
4. “Y” to “L”
5. Release the “L”
6. Brush the Grass
7. Stick the Finish, Show some Shoe
8. Full Swing Routine
9. Posture

Skills                                                                                                                                                  
1. Iron Shot – Hit a 6, 7, or 8 Iron off the ground at least 50 yards in air, 3 of 5 attempts.
2. Driver Shot – Hit Driver off a tee at least 75 yards in the air, 3 of 5 attempts.

This information is covered in the back of the Learning Program Handbook. You must answer 5 of 5 questions correct verbally.

Scoring
Once qualified by passing skills test, you will go play 9 holes on the golf course.  For Level 4, you must score 54 or less 1 time.  1,350 yard course.
