Maritime Center
The Charleston Maritime Center was completed in October 1997 to bring the community in touch with the waterfront and Charleston's rich maritime history. The center features a deep-water, full-service marina as well as facilities for special events.

Location Maritime Center Park
Located near the new South Carolina Aquarium, the Charleston Maritime Center is the first of many projects in Charleston's long-range plan to redevelop and revitalize the historic waterfront and provide waters-edge access to its residents and visitors. It is located at 10 Wharfside St., near the intersection of Calhoun and Concord streets.

The Charleston Maritime Center is conveniently located near the historic district in downtown, and within easy walking distance are the market, several hotels, the King Street shopping district, and waterfront park.

Amenities The Charleston Maritime Center
Currently, the Charleston Maritime Center has both a deep-water, full-service marina and premiere special events facilities. The marina can accommodate boats up to 180 feet in length, and offers dockage without the restriction of any overpasses or bridges.

The special events facilities at the Maritime Center can house events from 20 to 5000 people.

For more specific information about special event facilities at the Charleston Maritime Center, view the Meeting Facilities and the Event Coordination pages.
