Keep Charleston Beautiful

  1. Clean Cities Sweep (Part of the Great American Cleanup)

    March 20, 2021, 8:00 AM - June 20, 2021, 5:00 PM @ City of Charleston

"Clean Cities Sweep" is a local cleanup/beautification initiative hosted by the City of Charleston and the City of North Charleston. The event is part of the Great American Cleanup, which is a call to action that takes place across the country. Clean Cities Sweep runs from mid March through mid June, and volunteers are encouraged to complete litter cleanup or beautification events with community or school groups any time during this general time frame. Volunteer supplies for litter cleanup efforts are available in limited quantities. While we still have small hand tools to lend out, our funding for beautification projects has been drastically reduced for 2021. Please inquire via email for supplies. We also have cleanup kits available to individual volunteers or families (ie. 1-2 people) who are looking to work independently to clean roadways, parks, or marsh areas. Please fill out our request form if you are interested in a DIY Cleanup Kit -
