  1. Charleston Farmers Market - Special Holiday Hours

    December 8, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Marion Square

Founded by Mayor Joe Riley in 1989, and the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, the Charleston Farmers Market (CFM) is produced by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs, in cooperation with the City of Charleston Parks Department and Special Events Committee. The CFM is open each Saturday, from April through November, 8:00am to 2:00pm with select Sundays and adjusted hours during the Piccolo Spoleto Festival and Saturdays and Sundays during Holiday Magic in December. Attracting locals and visitors alike, the CFM is the community connection bringing together people from all parts of the Lowcountry and beyond.

  2. **Cancelled** Annual Holiday Parade of Boats

    December 8, 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Head to the water for a Lowcountry holiday tradition as this display of lighted and festive boats proceeds through the Charleston Harbor. View the procession along Charleston’s waterfront or decorate your own boat and join the parade. Presented in partnership with the Charleston Sail and Power Squadron. The parade begins at approximately 4:30PM near the Mt. Pleasant side and ends in the Ashley River, (after processing down the Charleston side of the Cooper River), at approximately 6:30PM. We say approximately, because of various factors, including wind, current, and the ability of the boats to maintain headway. Information about the historic Rotary Club of Charleston’s Light Up the Night Parade Viewing Party at the Charleston Maritime Center is available by visiting www.charlestonparadeofboats.com.
