[ARCHIVED] City of Charleston to Host Free Fourth of July Celebration

The city of Charleston will host a free Fourth of July concert featuring the Charleston Symphony with special guests Charlton Singleton and Quiana Parler at 8 p.m., July 4, 2021 at “The Joe.”

The family friendly, upbeat musical celebration will be followed by a fireworks display.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and concessions will be available for purchase.

Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg said, “After a challenging year of cancellations, quarantines and strict social distancing, it's genuinely exciting to be able to gather once again as a community. And I can't think of a better time to do it than on the Fourth of July--the day we celebrate our freedom as a country and a people.”

While free to attend, tickets must be reserved in advance. Please visit the “Fourth of July” tab on CharlestonArts.org for details. For questions about the concert, call the city of Charleston's Office of Cultural Affairs at 843-724-7305.
