Effective Monday, March 15, 2021, the Municipal Court will re-open for in-person Traffic and Criminal Bench Trials. No jury trial cases are being scheduled at this time.
Following an order by the Supreme Court of South Carolina in January 2021, in-person court proceedings were temporarily suspended due to rises in COVID-19 cases throughout the state.
Due to the ongoing situation related to COVID-19, no one who is coughing, feverish or ill may enter the courtroom, and defendants must wear masks or face coverings during court proceedings, unless asked by the Judge to remove them.
