The City of Charleston will be closed Thursday, December 31st and Friday, January 1st. In order to provide service to all residents in a timely manner, garbage and trash collection will take place on the modified schedule outlined below.
Peninsula, James Island and West Ashley Inside I-526:
Collection will take place on a normal schedule.
West Ashley Outside I-526 and Johns Island:
Monday through Thursday, collection will take place on a normal schedule.
Friday’s route (1/1) will be run Saturday, January 2.
Cainhoy and Daniel Island:
Collection will take place on a normal schedule.
Please note that the new contractor, Capital Waste, will begin on January 4, 2021.
