On June 13, 2015, the City of Charleston will host a Charleston Senior Information Fair at Arthur W. Christopher Community Center (265 Fishburne St.), from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
This is an educational program for seniors, their families, and professionals who work with seniors; and the goal is to raise awareness of essential services, resources and information integral to the safety and well-being of older persons.
Several speakers are scheduled throughout the day, and will speak on dementia, legal issues for seniors, and elder abuse. Informational exhibitors will also be present, and will include Trident Area Agency on Aging, Smart 911, and Veteran Services. Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the event. Drawings for 100 $25.00 Harris Teeter gift cards will be held hourly and you must be present to win.
