
Charleston Police Investigating Homicide, Shooting
Charleston, S.C. - Charleston Police are investigating a homicide and shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of April 25, 2023, at the 1000 West Apartments in West Ashley.
This morning at 2:32 a.m., Charleston Police were summoned to 1000 Bonieta Harrold Drive for reports of gunshots.
When officers arrived, they located one woman suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and one man suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation suggests this incident stemmed from an earlier shooting situation at the apartment complex.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the deceased.
