Create City of Charleston Household

  • To minimize lines and questions, we recommend completing your household prior to the course reopening.  The Rectrac portal is available 24/7.
  • If booking a tee time online (preferred), your household will be saved in the tee sheet, and you will simply need to show us your driver's license with matching address upon arrival.
  • If booking over the phone or in person, our staff will search the Rectrac database for your household using the phone number you provided.
  • All players in each tee time must provide household information to receive discounts.
  • All City Residents must show a valid drivers license with matching City address when checking in to play.

The golf course is in the final stages of a full course renovation and will remain closed to the public until further notice.

A reopening date is anticipated in Fall 2020.  Further updates will be posted when available.

Located just 10 minutes from downtown Charleston, "The Muni" sits on James Island, situated between the Stono River and historic Riverland Terrace, one of James Island’s oldest neighborhoods. The Municipal Golf Course opened in 1929 on 120 acres of land, which was given to the City from Mr. C. Bissell Jenkins with the stipulation that the property always be a municipal golf course available for everyone. Today, nearly 90 years later, the Muni hosts over 50,000 rounds yearly, enjoying the company of men and women; boys and girls; residents and tourists; all who share a similar passion for golf and the company of good people. Simply put - The Muni is Everyone’s Course.
