Holiday Fundraiser

The Charleston Police Department has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House and the Fisher House for our first annual Santa’s Escort Ride. We are hoping to collect donations for families in need before our holiday fundraiser to be held on December 18th. Both the Ronald McDonald House and the Fisher House are nonprofit, family-centered residences serving family members of children or veterans currently undergoing extensive medical treatment in Charleston. The purpose of these two organizations is to keep families together during serious illness and reduce their stress by providing them a home away from home at no cost to the family.

For the CPD-sponsored event this year, Santa will deliver gifts with a procession of uniformed policemen. We hope to have the “sleigh” overflowing with needed items; so are seeking donations from local organizations, businesses and citizen! All donations raised from this event will help support general operations at the houses as well as provide direct gifts for families.

Below you will find a link to the items requested by the Ronald McDonald and Fisher Houses through their Amazon Wish Lists. Please drop off or ship all donations, by December 16, 2019  to:

ATTN: Lt. Shylah Murray, Community Outreach Office

Charleston Police Department

180 Lockwood Boulevard

Charleston, SC 29403

We hope you will consider helping us in giving back this holiday season. Your charitable, tax-deductible donations will help these two fantastic organizations provide much needed services to seriously ill children and veterans and their families. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Lt. Shylah Murray at murrays@charleston-sc.gov or by phone at 843-720-2376. Thank you in advance for helping us make a difference this year!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
