Child Safety Seat Installations

The Charleston Fire Department (CFD) will schedule or participate in routine child safety seat checkpoints around the region. At this time we do not conduct unscheduled inspections or station drop ins.

The CFD has entered into a partnership with MUSC to conduct education checkpoints throughout the year. The first event will be on January 16th, 2019, and then the 1st Wednesday of the month starting in February of 2019. Caregivers will need to register for a time slot.

Regional events are often conducted quarterly and will be advertised on our Facebook page. For additional information on Child Safety Seats or questions on installations, please email the local Safe Kids Representative, Aynsley Birkner, or call at (843) 792-5327.
