Putting:
Knowledge    -
need to say and demonstrate these 7 putting forms   

  1. The “Y” Setup
  2. Eyes over the Ball
  3. Backswing = Follow-Through
  4. Aim the Train at a Spot
  5. Putting Routine
  6. Reading the Green
  7. Grip Options

Skills

  1. Medium Putt – 20’ away on sloping green, must two-putt 4 of 5 attempts
  2. Opposite Side of Hole – 20’ opposite side of medium putt, must two-putt 4 of 5 attempts
  3. Long Putt – 40’ away, must two-putt 3 of 5 attempts

Around the Green:

Chipping Forms:

Knowledge – need to say and demonstrate these 6 chipping forms

  1. “Y” Setup, Weight Forward, Hands Ahead
  2. Eyes over the Ball
  3. Backswing = Follow-Through
  4. Aim the Train at the Spot
  5. Choke Down
  6. Chipping Grip Option
  7. Chipping Routine
  8. Stick the Finish and Be Still

Skills

  1. Short Chip – Use wedge or 9 Iron, 20’ away, must chip 3 of 5 into within one length of flagstick, 7’
  2. Medium Chip – Use 6,7 or 8 Iron, 40’ away, must chip 3 of 5 into within one length of flagstick, 7’
  3. Long Chip – Use 6,7 or 8 Iron, 60’ away, must chip 3 of 5 into within one length of flagstick, 7’

Pitching Forms:

Knowledge – need to say and demonstrate these 5 pitching forms

  1. Ball in the Middle
  2. Backswing “Y”
  3. Belly Button Square
  4. “Y” to “L” Long Pitch
  5. Stick the Finish from Head to Toe
  6. Pitching Routine

 Skills

  1. Short Pitch – Use Wedge or 9 Iron, 20 yards away, 3 of 5 must land and stay on the green
  2. Long Pitch – Use P or S Wedge, 40 yards away, 3 of 5 must land and stay on the green

Sand:

Knowledge – need to say and demonstrate these 5 Sand form

  1. Don’t Touch
  2. Ball Forward
  3. Splash the Sand
  4. Stick the Finish
  5. Open Stance
  6. Swing Parallel
  7. “Y” to “L”
  8. Swing through the Splash

Skills

  1. Sand Shot – 3 of 5 balls out of bunker and stay on green

Full Swing:

Knowledge – need to say and demonstrate these 7 full swing forms

  1. Ball Positions
  2. “Y” Setup
  3. Aim the Train, Shaft Plane
  4. “Y” to “L”
  5. Stick the Finish, Tempo
  6. Swing Plane
  7. Full Shoulder Turn
  8. Full Swing Routine
  9. Grip Options

Skills

  1. Mid-Iron Shot – Hit a 6, 7, or 8 Iron off the ground at least 75 yards in air, 3 of 5 attempts.
  2. Driver Shot – Hit Driver off a tee at least 75 yards in the air, 3 of 5 attempts.

 

Equipment, Rules and Etiquette Knowledge:

  1.  This information is covered in the back of the Learning Program Handbook. You must answer 5 of 5 questions correct verbally.

 Scoring:

  1. Once qualified by passing skills test, you will go play 3 holes on the course, from the appropriate tees, you must average 6 or better, so score of 18. With 10 stroke maximum strokes on a hole.
