  1. Charleston Farmers Market

    September 29, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Marion Square

    Founded by Mayor Joe Riley in 1988 with the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, the CFM is produced by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs, in cooperation with the City of Charleston Parks Department and Special Events Committee. Located in historic Marion Square, the CFM has been ranked by Travel and Leisure magazine as one of the top 10 farmers markets in the nation and the City Paper's annual "Best Of" edition has proclaimed the CFM as "Best Outdoor Event" and/or "Best Attraction" for five years running. The CFM is open each Saturday, from April through November, 8:00am to 2:00pm with select Sundays and adjusted hours during the Piccolo Spoleto Festival and Saturdays and Sundays during Holiday Magic in December. Attracting locals and visitors alike, the CFM is the community connection bringing together people from all parts of the Lowcountry and beyond.

    Come test your fishing skills at Colonial Lake with the Huck Finn Fishing Festival partnered with the Department of Natural Resources. Awards will be given to the top finishers in each age group.
